Bob Bischof built the UK subsidiary of the German industrial logistics supplier Jungheinrich AG and later became Chairman of Lancer Boss, which Jungheinrich acquired out of receivership.
After the collapse of the Berlin Wall, he was instrumental in the restructuring and privatization of East Germany's ailing heavy industry. Later he was assigned by Linde AG to reposition their subsidiary STILL Materials Handling in the UK. He served on the board of T-Systems UK, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom and Lll GmbH, a chemical subsidiary of Hoechst.
Mr. Bischof is on the board of the German-British Forum and the German British Chamber of Industry & Commerce. He is a Non-Executive Director of Henderson Eurotrust plc and Non-Executive Chairman of Vitalize Health Products Ltd.
Bob Bischof studied economics at the University of Hamburg and started his career in banking. He served as Honorary Consul for Germany in the North West of England and received an Order of Merit for his contributions to German-British relations from the German President. He is a frequent commentator on business and economical issues both in newspapers and TV.
